De-Stress for Africa

12.30-15.00 - 11th February 2008

Opposite SU Reception, Portland Building

Dreams of Africa have teamed up with the good people at Massage Soc and 5 Minute Angels to offer you Head Massages in the Portland Building (Opposite the Student’s Union Reception).  In return you simply donate as much money as you think it is worth! Simple! So...de-stress and help us change lives in Africa!

IT’S THAT SIMPLE! smile

All the professional departments in Portland are joining in, so lets see if us students can pull together and beat them in our collective generosity!

** SO WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY GO? **

Dreams of Africa is going to make a a donation at the end of the year to SOS Children’s Villages, the world’s largest orphan charity. So your money will be spent on building safe communities for children, giving them homes, placing them in new, supportive and caring families, local nurseries or primary schools, medical and social centres, disabled centres and other small community projects. SOS Children looks after children who have lost their parents: through war, famine, disease or poverty. The charity cares for street children, AIDS orphans, child soldiers and other children who have nothing and no-one.

The work of SOS Children’s Villages is not about hand-outs, but practical support; it is not about unilateralism, but co-operation; and it is not about pity, but respect. Dreams of Africa and SOS Children’s Villages are committed to a message of hope for the children of Africa.
